Today seemed like a long day for some reason. I got up at 8, ate breakfast, read my Bible, cleaned up the kitchen, checked my e-mail, went to the grocery store, talked to Jessica on the phone, worked on VBS pictures when I got back home, cooked dinner (on 3 burners....more on that tomorrow), worked on VBS pictures some more, went with Tim to visit a family that was attending but stopped when the Doctrines of Election series began, found out that is the reason they are not coming back, went to Lowe's to find a replacement element for the stove but no luck, came back home, worked on VBS pictures again, ate some snacks, did today's layout, and now I am ready for bed. WHEW! I now know why today was a long day!

O God, I have tasted Thy goodness, and it has both satisfied me and made me thirsty for more. I am painfully conscious of my need of further grace. I am ashamed of my lack of desire. O God, The Triune God, I want to want Thee; I long to be filled with longing; I thirst to be made more thirsty still. Show me Thy glory, I pray Thee, that so I may know Thee indeed. Begin in mercy a new work of love within me. Say to my soul, "Rise up, my love, my fair one, and come away." Then give me grace to rise and follow Thee up from this misty lowland where I have wondered so long. In Jesus' name. Amen
