Excerpt: The Pursuit of God, The Human Thirst for the Divine, A.W. Tozer

O God, I have tasted Thy goodness, and it has both satisfied me and made me thirsty for more. I am painfully conscious of my need of further grace. I am ashamed of my lack of desire. O God, The Triune God, I want to want Thee; I long to be filled with longing; I thirst to be made more thirsty still. Show me Thy glory, I pray Thee, that so I may know Thee indeed. Begin in mercy a new work of love within me. Say to my soul, "Rise up, my love, my fair one, and come away." Then give me grace to rise and follow Thee up from this misty lowland where I have wondered so long. In Jesus' name. Amen

He Has Made Me Glad

(If you click on the title, you can listen to this song on YouTube.  The Maranatha Singers have a YouTube of this, but I like hearing this kids' version!  Makes me smile!)

I will enter His gates with thanksgiving in my heart
I will enter His courts with praise
I will say this is the day that the Lord has made
I will rejoice for He has made me glad

He has made me glad, He has made me glad
I will rejoice for he has made me glad
He has made me glad, He has made me glad
I will rejoice for he has made me glad

Do you love going to the House of the LORD?  I love going and having fellowship with other believers!  I love singing the hymns.  I love listening to God's Word being taught and preached.  And, once again, He has made me glad that I went to His house today!  I hope you can say the same thing!

Tim and I both had stomach problems today.  The pill I take at night works wonders, but today I had to take a nausea pill before church.  His problem was that he felt like his breakfast was just sitting there, so he couldn't eat lunch.  So, he laid down and took a nap for an hour or so.  When he woke up, he was starving, LOL!

We did not sit outside tonight.  Just a little bit too hot.  I did go ahead and get the new sign up for the week.

Psalm 100 is where Bobby preached the morning and evening sermons from.  I'm so thankful for him filling in for Tim.  And I am thankful for Calvin filling in on Wednesdays for Tim!  God has blessed us with some wonderful men in our church.  Thank You, Lord!

Since Tim is not allowed to drive any more with his peripheral vision problems, I had to find someone who would be able to take me to get the endoscopy done.  I got that taken care of today.  And she told me to call her any time I needed someone to take me to the doctor.  Just one more reason that I love our church family.  They are ALL there when you need them!  Lori wants to find a church just like ours when she moves, but that is just not possible, unfortunately!  There is only ONE Hillcrest Baptist Church!  Thank You, Lord, for our church and for her people...Your people!  What a blessing they have been to us over the years!

I think I will try to do some reading tonight.  I haven't done any in more than 2 months now.  So, I am going to sign off and with you all a very blessed new week!

This is one of the many reasons we brothers and sisters in Christ are meant to live life together. I am so grateful for them too! Please, Lord, bless them for their sweet hearts!
