Excerpt: The Pursuit of God, The Human Thirst for the Divine, A.W. Tozer

O God, I have tasted Thy goodness, and it has both satisfied me and made me thirsty for more. I am painfully conscious of my need of further grace. I am ashamed of my lack of desire. O God, The Triune God, I want to want Thee; I long to be filled with longing; I thirst to be made more thirsty still. Show me Thy glory, I pray Thee, that so I may know Thee indeed. Begin in mercy a new work of love within me. Say to my soul, "Rise up, my love, my fair one, and come away." Then give me grace to rise and follow Thee up from this misty lowland where I have wondered so long. In Jesus' name. Amen

HAPPY NEW YEAR, 2018!

My prayer for you for 2018:
"May The Good Lord Bless And Keep You"
by Jim Reeves

May the good Lord bless and keep you
Whether near or far away
May you find that long awaited
Golden day today

May your troubles all be small ones
And your fortunes ten times ten
May the good Lord bless and keep you
Till we meet again

May you walk with sunlight shining
And a bluebird in every tree
May there be a silver lining
Back of every cloud you see

Fill your dreams with sweet tomorrows
Never mind what might have been
May the good Lord bless and keep you
Till we meet again

(May you walk with sunlight shining)
And a bluebird in every tree
(May there be a silver lining)
Back of every cloud you see

Fill your dreams with sweet tomorrows
Never mind what might have been
May the good Lord bless and keep you
Till we meet again

May the good Lord bless and keep you
Till we meet, (Till we meet)
Till we meet again...

I know there are a lot of people who read this blog that I have never met before.  I just want to say, "Thank you!"  Thank you for the love and support you have been to me throughout the last year through your prayers and thoughts for my sweet husband and me.  And I know you are still praying for me as I continue on with my journey without the love of my life by my side.  It is a new chapter in my life, one I know the Lord is leading me through.  I know He is, otherwise I wouldn't be able to carry on!  Thank You, LORD!

We spent the last day of 2017 as follows:
Church
Picking up Jessica's car after being painted
Lunch at a Japanese steak house
Games all afternoon
Evening church was cancelled
Games all evening with snacks
Watched the ball drop in NY

Church

My not-so-clean car after being on the nasty roads today.

Japanese restaurant for Jessica's birthday.  The kids had never seen the chef cooking the food in front of them.  At one point he said to Araya, "Open your mouth so I can throw some veggies in!  She puckered and said, "NO!"  She didn't want him to give her anything!  :D

Sorry the video is sideways.  Plus, it is very poor quality since it was dark in the restaurant.  I videoed the chef's whole "show" but the file is over 2GB large upon completion of the 20+ minutes of video.
We finished out the games by playing 13 rounds of dominoes!  OY VEY!  Then we turned on the TV and watched the ball drop in Times Square.

HAPPY NEW YEAR!!
