Excerpt: The Pursuit of God, The Human Thirst for the Divine, A.W. Tozer

O God, I have tasted Thy goodness, and it has both satisfied me and made me thirsty for more. I am painfully conscious of my need of further grace. I am ashamed of my lack of desire. O God, The Triune God, I want to want Thee; I long to be filled with longing; I thirst to be made more thirsty still. Show me Thy glory, I pray Thee, that so I may know Thee indeed. Begin in mercy a new work of love within me. Say to my soul, "Rise up, my love, my fair one, and come away." Then give me grace to rise and follow Thee up from this misty lowland where I have wondered so long. In Jesus' name. Amen

Saturday, in the Park..........

.......or just in the house, cleaning bathrooms, doing laundry.....my Saturday thing.  Also today Tim and I had to clean the church building because the lady scheduled to clean this month has a hurt arm.  Plus, I had to clean up my mess I carried to the Fellowship hall last night for the Ladies' Meeting.  Plus, I worked some more on my canvas project in between loads of laundry.  And tonight I finished a scrapbooking page that I started last night.  All in a day's work.  :D

This photo was taken for a prompt I received from an art chick, "What's that smell?"  At the exact time I was reading the email, I was fixing myself a cup of coffee to wash down a donut I had just eaten!  Perfect timing!  :D

Here's the canvas project.  Those black flowers will become snowflakes.  Just add a little gesso (thick acrylic paint) and some glitter!

An "in the process" photo.  The little white spots you see on the black ones and the white ones is glitter.

I also painted the centers of the flowers and used those as snow drops.  I still need to add a star at the top of the tree and probably more stenciling on the background.  Not sure I like the yellow I added.  It seems to be too bright.  Not totally sure I like the "snowflakes" either!  And, I will be adding some word strips, too.  And I'm not sure I like the color of the "joy!" but I'll probably leave it as is.
OK, need to read my Bible before bed.  I woke up with another headache today, so I'm hoping it is not going to be a repeat of last Sunday morning for me!  According to Tim, I missed a good Sunday school lesson by Calvin.

Nite!
