Excerpt: The Pursuit of God, The Human Thirst for the Divine, A.W. Tozer

O God, I have tasted Thy goodness, and it has both satisfied me and made me thirsty for more. I am painfully conscious of my need of further grace. I am ashamed of my lack of desire. O God, The Triune God, I want to want Thee; I long to be filled with longing; I thirst to be made more thirsty still. Show me Thy glory, I pray Thee, that so I may know Thee indeed. Begin in mercy a new work of love within me. Say to my soul, "Rise up, my love, my fair one, and come away." Then give me grace to rise and follow Thee up from this misty lowland where I have wondered so long. In Jesus' name. Amen

Baby, It's COLD Outside!!!

WOW!  Talk about looks being deceiving!  Today's sunshine and the cold temperatures (the wind chill factor is a killer!) don't go together!  I think I'll stay in today!
It's a "bright,.....

.....bright, sunshiny day!"

Feels a LOT colder than this with the wind chill factor!!

That reminds me of a song that I always liked the melody of:

"I Can See Clearly Now" is a song written, composed, and originally recorded by Johnny Nash.  It was a single from the album of the same name and achieved success in the United States and the UK when it was released in 1972, reaching number one on the Billboard Hot 100 chart.

I can see clearly now the rain is gone
I can see all obstacles in my way
Gone are the dark clouds that had me blind
It's gonna be a bright (bright)
Bright (bright) sunshiny day
It's gonna be a bright (bright)
Bright (bright) sunshiny day

Oh, yes I can make it now the pain is gone
All of the bad feelings have disappeared
Here is that rainbow I've been praying for
It's gonna be a bright (bright)
Bright (bright) sunshiny day

Look all around, there's nothing but blue skies
Look straight ahead, there's nothing but blue skies

I can see clearly now the rain is gone
I can see all obstacles in my way
Here is that rainbow I've been praying for
It's gonna be a bright (bright)
Bright (bright) sunshiny day

It's gonna be a bright (bright)
Bright (bright) sunshiny day
Bright (bright), bright (bright)
Bright sunshiny day
It's going to be a bright (bright)
Bright (bright) sunshiny day
It's gonna be a bright (bright)
Bright (bright) sunshiny day
It's gonna be a bright (bright)
Bright (bright) sunshiny day

Yes, that it was!  Today was a beautifully, bright and sunshiny (I thought that "sunshiny" would have an "ey" on the end, but auto correct says NOT) day!

Time to clean up the kitchen from last night.  Since I have finished the baby items, I guess I'll find something else to knit or crochet.  I've still got a TON of yarn in my stash!  Plus, I have to finish my knit purse I started BEFORE the baby items.  I'm thinking of making some items to sell at a consignment shop.  The problem with that for me is that as soon as it becomes a "job" I cease to enjoy it!  We shall see how it goes!

I know this post is early, but since we have church tonight, I won't be doing much of anything else today.  We will have oven cooked steak for supper and some potatoes and green beans cooked with a big hunk of ham for flavoring!

Have a great day!  Stay warm!

Oh my mercy it's so cold here! We haven't hardly had winter so it feels so much worse because we're not used to it! It was 17 this morning, felt like 5. UGH!!! If it hadn't been church night, I wouldn't have stuck my nose out the door today!

Same here, Stephanie! We were a little bit warmer than you, but not much! You are right.....it "hurts" because we have had such a mild winter! Doesn't take much to spoil us, does it?!
