Excerpt: The Pursuit of God, The Human Thirst for the Divine, A.W. Tozer

O God, I have tasted Thy goodness, and it has both satisfied me and made me thirsty for more. I am painfully conscious of my need of further grace. I am ashamed of my lack of desire. O God, The Triune God, I want to want Thee; I long to be filled with longing; I thirst to be made more thirsty still. Show me Thy glory, I pray Thee, that so I may know Thee indeed. Begin in mercy a new work of love within me. Say to my soul, "Rise up, my love, my fair one, and come away." Then give me grace to rise and follow Thee up from this misty lowland where I have wondered so long. In Jesus' name. Amen

Glorious Purple

The hyacinth turned a deep purple this week!  They are so pretty!
In person, they are even a deeper purple than appears in the pictures.

I am just about 1/2 finished, according to the amount of yarn left in the first skein!

I changed the pattern a bit.  The addition of the border stitches in the middle was added to break up the LONG, long rows of counting the pattern!  The color of these 2 pictures is still not the correct color.

I woke up with a terrible headache today!  I got up and took some tylenol and laid back down for a couple of hours.  It was better when I got up, but I treated it gingerly all day by not doing much bending over or doing anything stressful.  So I did the laundry and knitted.  I still cleaned Tim's bathroom and washed the linens in the guest bedroom that the missionary stayed in last weekend.

I forgot to mention in yesterday's post that dad had died 14 years ago.  I miss him so much!

Have a great Lord's Day tomorrow!
